
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR or TNVR) is the humane and effective method used to help manage community cat populations.
Community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped for identification, and then safely returned to the outdoor area they call home.
Scheduling Assistance
We help caretakers schedule appointments with partner clinics for community cats and pet cats when available.
Transportation Assistance
We regularly transport cats to several partner clinics to help make affordable care more accessible.
Trapping Guidance
With many years of experience, we are able to offer knowledgeable guidance and assistance with trapping cats. When possible, we rely on caretakers to help with the process so our volunteers can continue assisting other clients in need. Assistance may include anything from simply covering trapped cats to setting traps and transporting cats, depending on the caretaker’s ability and comfort level.

Community cats within the City of Reading may qualify for reduced-cost TNR services: $25 per cat
When possible, we ask caretakers to assist with the trapping process so our volunteers can continue helping as many cats as possible.

We Do Not:
Ear Tipping
Community cats receive a small ear tip while under anesthesia to identify them as already sterilized and vaccinated.
Pet cats do NOT receive ear tips.
