Our mission is to help colony caretakers stabilize and vaccinate community cat populations through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).
Our TNVR philosophy centers on humane, long-term solutions that improve the lives of both cats and the communities they live in. Through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return, community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the area they call home under the care of dedicated caretakers.
TNVR helps prevent future litters, reduces nuisance behaviors such as fighting and spraying, and improves overall colony health while allowing cats to remain in the environment they are familiar with. We believe compassion, education, and community support are key to creating lasting change for both people and cats.
Our staff has a combined 50+ years of experience. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who also assist with trapping when needed. While we are not a rescue, we occasionally partner with local organizations to help connect people and cats with available resources and support.
Berks Community Cats is grateful to work alongside a network of veterinary clinics, rescues, shelters, caregivers, and animal welfare organizations that share our commitment to humane community cat management and animal welfare.
Through these partnerships, we are able to help connect caretakers and pet owners with affordable spay/neuter services, transportation assistance, medical care, educational resources, and additional support when available.
Some of the organizations and clinics we frequently work with include:
We are thankful for the continued support, collaboration, and dedication of the many individuals and organizations helping improve the lives of cats throughout our community.
